Today I went with some friends (my fellow interns) to The Bicycle Shop in Norwich. It is on St Benedicts Street, which can be hard to miss, but I would recommend looking out for it – it’s lovely!
It’s quirky. That’s probably the best way to describe it. It’s filled with knik knacks from the surrounding shops, very hip and chic. The furniture is all mismatched but that definitely adds to the atmosphere! It’s a little small, but they have seating across two levels, so that’s good.
The waitress also informed us that they have a basement downstairs where they serve cocktails and even on a Wednesday night it is clearly quite popular, as people were filtering in, even as they left.
It’s a little expensive but definitely worth it’s the food was delicious.. Particularly the dessert! I had an ice cream burger, which is two homemade cookies with ice cream sandwiches in between… Yum!
It’s easily accessible, about a five minute walk from St Andrews, where parking is £1.80 after 18.30.
I would have included a link to the website but I actually didn’t find one haha. And the menu was on a blackboard with there! Very unique!
Here is a picture of our food though!
