The end of an American Adventure

So, my fabulous, funfilled and fantastic adventure to the United States has come to an end. I sit and write this on the train from London Liverpool Street to Diss train station, the final leg of the journey home.

I’ve had such a fantastic time stateside, and I’ve rediscovered my love of all things American.

In Florida I had fun at all the Disney Parks and made best friends with Mickey Mouse. I dived into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter which is so fantastically on point with the movies. I shopped till I dropped at both the Florida Mall and Orlando’s Premium Outlets. All in all I had the best time ever.

New York was more jampacked than ever. In one day we managed to see; the Empire State Building and take gorgeous pictures of the sensational view the observation deck provides, take the ferry to Staten Island passing by Lady Liberty, visit the 9/11 Memorial site and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.

We also wandered round Central Park, Greenwich Village and Macys but we took that at a more leisurely pace on our second day. The most amazing bit of the trip for me was visiting the campus of New York University, commonly referred to as NYU. When I was younger it was always my dream to go to university in America but with tuition fees skyrocketing it just wasn’t feasible. Seeing the building and walking around the campus has renewed my sense of wishing to attend there. I’ve got my heart set of heading stateside at the end of my degree to complete further education and look for a job. To keep this dream in mind, I took a picture of the plague for the Psychology building and I think I may frame it!!

I intend to attach pictures over the next few days from both the Florida leg and the New York adventure of my trip. My one and only criticism of America: their wifi is appalling.
